About the project
The historic setting determined the classical foundation of this apartment: light walls with mouldings, relief ceilings and herringbone parquet. Contemporary furniture, rich colours and graphic light fittings give the interior the character of a present-day home.
In the shared area, burgundy kitchen fronts are combined with an olive sofa, black dining chairs and the coloured glass of the coffee table. Surfaces with a pronounced stone pattern unite the kitchen and dining area. Integrated lighting picks out the open shelves, while minimal pendants contrast with the ceiling plasterwork.
In the bedroom the palette grows calmer: pale furniture and soft textiles are complemented by a vivid painting and coloured details. Built-in storage keeps the overall composition clean, leaving the focus on proportion and finish.
The apartment was designed and completed for long-term rental. The approach rests on comfortable furnishings with a character of their own: the classical finishes connect the interior to its place, while furniture, light and art make it lively and individual.
