About the project
All 195 m² of this apartment in central Kyiv were designed for one person. The space follows the habits and interests of its young owner: there is room for solitude, work, a personal collection and receiving guests.
Dark ceilings, openings framed in sheet steel and oak furniture give the interior a solid, restrained character. Continuous flooring links the rooms, while olive and terracotta tones add depth to the overall palette. Localised lighting brings out the textures and keeps the atmosphere intimate even in the spacious living room.
The private zone brings together the bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe behind the bed and an open space with a stone bath and basins. It continues into a teak-lined shower with a hammam function. The transitions between zones are arranged so that daily rituals become part of a single space for rest.
The study includes space for the owner’s arms collection and access to an inner balcony finished in Corten steel. The living room, with its deep modular sofa, open fire and bold art, reveals the apartment’s more sociable side. These different scenarios are united by the owner’s personal idea of comfort — private, unconstrained and entirely his own.
